Blog Journal #6

When I initially started using Diigo, I was a bit confused as to how to navigate and what the real purpose of the site was. However, as I continue to use it, I learned that it was used to share online resources and be able to keep them all in the same place. I like using Diigo because there are many online tutorials out there that can help me navigate the site when I get confused and that eliminates confusion. One thing I don’t like about Diigo is the fact that it can be confusing the first time you use it if you have no prior knowledge. I know when I first logged into the site I personally had no idea how to use it.

I personally really enjoy the blogging assignments each week. I really like how easy the site is to navigate, and how it makes it really easy to post and share my blogs, as well as look at my classmates and read their responses. I feel that I have learned more about the topics each week through these types of assignments because I am able to write about them in a way that I almost have to share and try and teach someone else. There isn’t really anything I don’t like about blogging, as I really enjoy these assignments and look forward to them every week.

An interesting Web 2.0 tool that I found was a blog written by Teacher Tom. This tool is a great resource because it allows you to get advice from someone else. A blog is a good resource because it allows you to post your thoughts and then be able to get other people’s opinions on the topics in real time! I have enjoyed our class blog and responding to my classmates because it allows you to share your own opinion.
